Philipp Öttl is the son of former Grand Prix rider Peter Oettl. After racing in the Red Bull Rookies Cup and winning several races between 2010 and 2012, he made his debut in the Moto3™ World Championship at the final race of the 2012 season, where he remained until 2018, when he won the Grand Prix of Jerez (Spain).

Philipp evolution

Philipp Öttl then decided to move up to Moto2™ in 2019, before joining the World Supersport Championship in 2020. There he finished third in his rookie season and scored 11 podiums in the class before joining the WorldSBK category in 2022.

His arrival at GMT94

In two seasons at the highest level of world motorbike sport with production machines, Philipp ÖTTL took 5th place in Australia, three 6th places and 24 top-10 finishes, and following these remarkable performances on a private machine, the GMT94 team decided to sign him up for 2024.
