Lorenzo is a pure talent, who didn’t wait to make his mark in the Grand Prix paddocks. By winning the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2011 in his first year, Lorenzo has made his mark. He joined the famous academy set up by Italian superstar Valentino Rossi. He was able to enjoy a very high level of training.
Naturally tall, Lorenzo Baldassarri quickly joined the Moto2 World Championship. The 600cc bikes are more suitable for his size. Between 2014 and 2021, he will reach 12 podiums, including 5 wins. Lorenzo was even a contender for the world title in 2019 throughout the first part of the season, after a thunderous start to the year, with 3 wins in 3 races.
In 2022, Lorenzo Baldassarri joined the World Supersport Championship after a difficult year in 2021. He won his first race, and finished the season as runner-up with 16 podiums and 4 wins. A real feat. Following these performances, the GMT94 team trusted him for his entry into the World Superbike Championship for the 2023 season.
