Race resume

Starting from 13th on the grid, Jules Cluzel made a fantastic comeback to win the race on the last corner of the last lap. Without doubt his best race since his arrival at the GMT94 Yamaha team.

Following his injury, Valentin Debise didn’t hesitate to go around the track to advise Jules from the Superpole session until the warm up session. A real team effort was made, which allowed Jules to be the fastest on track and to set the best time in the race. The whole GMT94 Yamaha team would like to thank Valentin for his commitment, despite the disappointment of not taking part in the race following his shoulder injury.

The GMT94 Yamaha R6 once again has the best top speed, as well as the best average speed. Congratulations to the technical team who worked hard until the last round of the season.

Jules Cluzel: “It was a crazy race. It wasn’t easy, because it was hot and humid. I managed to come back with a lot of energy, it was really incredible. In the last corner I tried to come out well to try to pass the two competitors in front of me and it worked. I would also like to thank Valentin for his advice and his investment after his crash on Friday.”

The Dutch skies did not make the choice of tyres easy for the Superbike riders. Philipp Öttl started out on slick tyres, but quickly returned to the pits to change to rain tyres as the rain began to fall. […]
