Race resume

Work is the word that sums up this first day at Misano for the GMT94 Yamaha riders.

In the Superbike class, Lorenzo Baldassarri clocked up 42 laps on Friday. Today’s objective was to continue the work begun a few weeks earlier during official testing on the same Italian track. The GMT94 Yamaha rider will benefit from a final session on Saturday morning, in order to gain the few tenths that will enable him to perform well in qualifying and the race for his home event.

On the Supersport front, Johan Gimbert’s mission was to discover the Team Val de Marnais Yamaha R6 and get to grips with the Circuit de Misano. The leader of the French 600 Championship, who arrived in Italy the evening before, can look back on a faultless first day. With a 22nd-place finish and a good time, Johan Gimbert takes the measure of his participation this weekend in a World Championship event.
