GMT94 Donington 2024 : Free practice and qualifying

Lucas Mahias will start on the second row for tomorrow’s race at 4.15pm.

The Yamaha 94 Supersport rider put in a brilliant practice session, setting the 4th fastest time in FP1, before finishing 5th in qualifying after a number of very fast laps. Lucas has confirmed that he will be a force to be reckoned with in this 5th round of the World Championship.

On the Superbike front, Philipp Öttl’s objective was to complete a series of laps on worn tires. The GMT94 rider completed 43 loops on Friday, aiming to find the key to finishing the races in the top 10.

In the Women’s World Cup, Spanish rider Ana Carrasco will start from pole position. France’s Ornella Ongaro and Emily Bondi will start from 10th and 17th positions respectively. Race 1 starts this Saturday at 13:20.

On March 14 and 15, GMT94 Yamaha travelled to Portimão (Portugal) for two days of testing with Lucas Mahiasand Roberto Garcia, in preparation for the second round of the Supersport World Championship, scheduled to take place on the same circuit from March 27 to 29.
