Race resume

After his surgery for a broken tibia-fibula, Jules Cluzel’s rehabilitation is going very well.

The GMT94 rider can do sport again. Cycling and fitness training are now possible. Jules has worked a lot to try to be back in Magny-Cours. Surgeons and trainers were optimistic.

However, the weather forecast is rainy and after consultation with the FIM doctor, it has been decided to postpone the possible return of Jules to the next race in two weeks in Estoril (Portugal).

Jules Cluzel : “I have given everything I had in the last few weeks to try and come back to race at home. I feel really good and I am sure that I can run 100%. The problem is the risk of a fall, which worries those around me. It’s true that we’re still a week away from being sure that the consolidation is definitive. It’s frustrating for me but I agree with the decision of the team and the federal doctor to come back to Estoril as strong as possible. »

Christophe Guyot: “Everything was ready for Jules, who wanted to come back. But we knew that the chances to ride at Magny Cours were slim because everybody agreed that Jules shouldn’t take any risk to see his injury worsen. The very good news is that Jules is fine and that the surgeons and doctors are sure he will soon be able to get back on his bike. »
