Assen - Netherlands

Race resume

After a five week break, the GMT94 Yamaha team is at the Assen circuit (Netherlands) for the 4th round of the World Supersport Championship.

During this break, the GMT94 mechanics made some evolutions on the GMT94 Yamaha R6. The test of Valentin Debise at the Circuit Carole validated the evolution of the gas connection for example. These details will bring an additional comfort on the motorbike, and facilitate even more its control.

Following the Misano race, Federico Caricasulo took part in the Italian Supersport Championship and took pole position at the Imola circuit. A performance that gave the Italian rider some confidence before the resumption of the World Championship in Assen.

Jules Cluzel has on his side cycled more than 2,000 km and is back in top physical shape. The whole team is ready to return to the track.

Christophe Guyot: “We are coming to Assen with the objective of reaching the podium again. After Friday sessions we will see if it is possible to aim for a victory. In the riders’ standings, Jules and Federico will be looking to take back points from their competitors for the world title. On the GMT94 side, it will be important to finish both races to score points in the team ranking, in order to get back the lead.
