Nogaro - France

Race resume

Each year, GMT94 Yamaha supports several riders in the French Superbike Championship. In 2022, thirteen riders receive technical support and advice from the triple world champion team. BS Battery, France Equipement, GB Racing, Mutuelle des Motards, Tecnoglobe and the FFM support the program led by GMT94 in its national championship.

This weekend the second round of the French Superbike Championship took place on the Nogaro circuit (France). The riders supported by the GMT94 Yamaha had mainly a great weekend.

SUPERBIKE

In the Superbike category, Christophe Guyot’s team has been supporting the young Martin Renaudin for several years, who undoubtedly had his best weekend since his arrival in the category. Fighting with the top riders, Martin finished twice 4th, fighting with Kenny Foray, Mathieu Ginès and Valentin Debise. A remarkable performance for the Moto&GP Addict rider.

SUPERSPORT

Because of its involvement in the World Supersport Championship, the GMT94 Yamaha is particularly involved in supporting riders competing in the 600cc class at national level. Valentin Debise, reserve rider of GMT94, and accompanied by GMT94 in FSBK, achieved the double win in the category, in addition to his two victories in Superbike. A flawless start to the championship for the rider who finished the 2021 season with GMT94 in World Supersport.

Loïc Arbel (from the Spanish Supersport Championship) and Johan Gimbert (from the 300cc World Supersport Championship) were the other two riders who impressed during this weekend in Nogaro. Arbel finished twice on the podium, just in front of Johan Gimbert who made a superb progression by taking twice the 4th place.

Regularly fighting for the top 5, Enzo de la Vega (coming from the 300cc World Championship) and Vincent Falcone (already engaged in the French Supersport Championship in 2021 and 2020) are looking for the last tenths to join the podium group. The two young riders, supported by GMT94, give their all in each session to reach the last step that will allow them to play regularly at the front.

Lilian Di Lorenzo (from the Promosport 600cc Championship), Matéo Pédeneau and Bartholomé Perrin (from the Red Bull Rookies Cup) continue their progression by fighting regularly for the top 10. Unfortunately for Lilian, a crash in Race 2 stopped his momentum, with a painful right ankle, which should be operational again for the next round. Luca Cersosimo (from the Promosport 600cc Championship) got his first points of the season, and regularly reduced the gap with his competitors.

Unfortunately for Hugo Robert and Lyvann Luchel, the weekend was more complicated. Hugo broke his engine on Saturday, then was involved in a collective crash in race 1. He got out of it with a broken finger.

SUPERSPORT 300

Justine Pedemonte is the rider helped in 300cc category by the GMT94 Yamaha team. In constant progress, Justine finished all her sessions in the top 10, and is gradually approaching the top five. A solid weekend, which allows Justine to gain even more experience.

See you next weekend, May 27-29, for the third round of the championship, on the Lédenon circuit.

Race resume

Sunday’s race at Assen (Netherlands) was not all plain sailing for the GMT94 riders. In Supersport, Lucas Mahias, who had an excellent warm-up (P2) in dry conditions, had high hopes of a podium finish on the grid. Even though the weather forecast predicted a few drops of rain on the first few laps, Lucas Mahias and his team decided to start on slicks like all the other riders on the […]

Race resume

This Saturday at Assen (Netherlands) the GMT94 Yamaha riders had to deal with capricious weather. Philipp Öttl was hoping to do well in the race after showing good pace in practice. The Dutch skies did not make the choice of tyres easy for the Superbike riders. Philipp Öttl started out on slick tyres, but quickly returned to the pits to change to rain tyres as the rain began to fall. […]
