Qatar - Doha

Race resume

The start of the race was impressive. Corentin Perolari was in 2nd position and remained in the leading group for 5 laps. A slight dip in the next 5 laps then forced him to clinch the lead. Corentin then found energy and pace in the last lap to seize the 6th place held by Héctor Barberá.

Christophe Guyot: “After only seven races in the World Supersport Championship, Corentin has risen to the level of the best riders. He has achieved performances in qualifying, in free practice or during the warmup preceding the races. Having started 24th in qualifying during his first race in Spain, then 16th in the race, the young GMT94 rider has kept to progress race after race. We will be working together this winter to learn how to manage the physical and tire wear. We are all convinced of the potential of Corentin that will allow us to aim for podiums next year.”

Corentin Perolari: “It’s really too bad that my tires started to slide so hard after a few laps. I lost ground but I’m really happy to have been able to resume at the end of the race, the pace I had at the beginning. I will learn how to handle this for next year. I’m so happy to be here, to know that GMT94 trusts me. I feel good on my bike, good with my team always close to me, and I will give everything this winter to be competitive and win races in 2019.
