Qatar - Doha

Race resume

Corentin Perolari will start from the second row in 5th position for the 2018 World Supersport Championship finale. He achieves a performance by obtaining the best qualification of the year, on the GMT94 Yamaha R6, while discovering the demanding track of Losail, Qatar. Corentin Perolari will be keen to shine to end an impressive season since his arrival at GMT94. The main interest of this race is the award of the world title to be played between Sandro Cortese (Kallio Racing Yamaha) and Jules Cluzel (NRT Yamaha).

Christophe Guyot: “This race promises to be very difficult for everyone because of the delicate choice of tires between the A and B. The first being more efficient and used for qualifying, the second being less efficient but more consistent. The track conditions are very hard with a special grip because of the sand and the ubiquitous dust. High temperatures (95°F) make this choice even more difficult. So Corentin Perolari will aim to make the best start possible while trying to maintain his position in the leading group.”

Corentin Perolari: “I’m really happy with the tests. I enjoy the bike even if I have trouble on some very large portions of the track where it is difficult to evaluate the pace, unlike experienced riders. I still have warmup to improve my feelings. I will give everything for the race and try to finish the season in style. It’s great to be in the 2nd row and thank you to all GMT94 to offer me a bike to ride at this level. Also, I wish Jules Cluzel good luck in obtaining his 1st world title! “
