Thailand. Pole Position for Jules Cluzel!

16 March 2019

Chang International Circuit Buriram

Race resume

We are really really happy about the pole position taken by our rider Jules Cluzel. This is a very first pole position for the team GMT94 Yamaha in the Supersport championship.

Corentin Perolari lost a lot of time in the traffic during the Superpole despite a good tire and he took the 15th position on the starting grid for tomorrow.

Christophe Guyot: “Congratulations for Jules Cluzel for his pole position today!

All the team is really proud and happy. Of course this was not the race but the pole position is very important for the better position for the start on tomorrow’s big day. We are aware of the talent of our rider, Jules Cluzel, but it was important for the team to provide him a good bike!

We are a bit disappointed for our rider Corentin Perolari, because he did a very good FP3 this morning, he was in the top ten! We were really happy with the result. As it was mentioned before, he lost a lot of time in the traffic and he lost a chance to do a good lap with a new tire. I am sure he can do a good start and finish in the top ten tomorrow.”

Jules Cluzel: “We worked really hard this weekend to achieve this result for me and the team. I know the gap between first riders is really tight. Is it not the same situation like in Australia when I was quite far from the first one. We improved and this is the most important. I will do all my best for the race tomorrow.”

Corentin Perolari: “I am angry of myself because I lost a good chance to make a better lap time. I will try to make a good start tomorrow and I will do my best throughout all the race!
