Jules Cluzel P4, crash for Corentin Perolari in Misano, Italy

Misano (Italy)

Race resume

After a nice warm-up, with an improvement of Jules Cluzel and a 6th place for Corentin Perolari who did his best lap time of the week end, GMT94 Yamaha was really looking forward to the race.

Jules Cluzel has been able to fight with the top 3 during many laps. He did similar times as the first riders, before losing time in the last three laps. He ended in 4th position, at two seconds from the victory, and is still 3rd at the championship.

Starting from P15, Corentin knew it was possible to do a good race regarding his pace during the warm-up session. Track was difficult, slow, and many riders crashed, including Corentin. He leaves Misano at the 9th position of the championship, as his opponents also didn’t score points.

Christophe Guyot : “Of course we are disappointed about Corentin crash, after a great warm-up. He’s not hurted, and will be ok for Donington. Once more, Jules’ race has been incredible. He gives everything, and it doesn’t miss much to be first. We were losing time in Sector 1, and gaining some in Sector 3. It means we don’t have the perfect balance to allow Jules to push less. We now have the experience to see where we can improve, and we have full motivated riders to be back on the podium”.

Next race will be in Donington (England), on July 5th-7th.
