Magny-Cours - Francia

Race resume

The good weather was forecast for this weekend but the day started under continuous rain. The GMT94 riders were able to brave the weather to fine-tune the settings and feel confident.

FP3 took place on a dry track, which Corentin Perolari ends on P3, Jules Cluzel on P5 and Maximilien Bau on P20.

Superpole takes place on a wet and delicate track but without rain. Extreme vigilance is required to avoid, once again, many trap of the Nivernian asphalt. Jules Cluzel concluded the session on the front row, in 2nd position, Corentin Perolari 8th and Maximilien Bau 17th.

Jules Cluzel: “I’m very happy with my qualification and yesterday we took the risk of getting out in the rain. The sunny weather was forecast for the weekend and we were still able to make adjustments on a wet track. It allowed us to set up the bike in mixed conditions and start from a good position to aim for a podium, or even more. It’s difficult to define a favourite because we couldn’t test on a dry track, but one thing is certain: we’re ready! “

Corentin Perolari: “I am satisfied with my 8th place because yesterday I didn’t want to take the risk of falling on a wet track. The good weather was forecast and I was able to perform well. I know I’m able to make good starts so the goal is the top 5! We’ll see what tomorrow’s race brings me. “

Maximilien Bau: “The session was positive and I did a lot of laps in the rain, it helped me a lot! I could have started with a worn tire to feel confident at the beginning of the session and have a better rhythm. But I will start from 17th place knowing that I will be able to play in the points, be in a good group and continue to progress and on the GMT94 Yamaha R6. “
