Following his crash in Race 1 at Donington Park (England) last July, Jules Cluzel fractured his heel and two metatarsals in his right foot.

Since 2019, GMT94 has offered an invitation to the French round of the WorldSBK to the leader of the French Supersport Championship each year. Thus, the best French rider at the national level, can benefit from the same bike as Jules Cluzel and Andy Verdoia, for a race held at the Magny-Cours circuit (53).

This Sunday, March 27, the first round of the French Superbike Championship took place on the Le Mans circuit.

Following the success of the 2021 edition, GMT94, the French Federation (FFM) and Yamaha France are renewing the Wild Card project in French Superbike Championship (FSBK) for the 2022 season. As a reminder, this challenge rewards the leader of the French Championship in the 600cc class.

After in two participations in Magny-Cours and Barcelona on the GMT94 Yamaha R6 in 2021, Andy Verdoïa (19 years old) will join Jules Cluzel in the French team for 2022. The French rider will wear the team’s emblematic number, #94.

Since its arrival in the WSSP Championship, the GMT94 team, with the help of the FFM and Yamaha, has offered the leader of the FSBK 600cc a Yamaha R6 for the WorldSSP French round at Magny-Cours.

Valentin Debise (29 years old – France) will ride alongside Jules Cluzel in the GMT94 Yamaha team for one more race.

French Supersport Champion in 2021, and wild-card for the GMT94 team during the French round of the World Supersport Championship, Valentin Debise had a beautiful 4th place in Superpole before being hit on the starting grid in Race 1.

Stefano Manzi (22 years old – Italy) will replace Andy Verdoïa for the Jerez round, following his injury at the Barcelona circuit.

Product of the Yamaha bLU cRU project, and author of two podiums in the 300cc World Championship, Andy has completed a full year in World Supersport during the 2020 season. Regularly in the points, Andy created won a race in epic conditions.
