Pre-race testing: the art of precision for GMT94

In the demanding world of motorbike racing, every detail counts. That's why, for the GMT94 Yamaha team, pre-race testing is of crucial importance. These test sessions are more than just a formality; they are an opportunity to perfect the symbiosis between rider, bike and circuit, ensuring that each race is approached with the confidence and preparation needed to aim for victory.

Pre-season tests

Pre-season tests are key moments for the GMT94 Yamaha team. Each year, the riders, mechanics and engineers gather for several days at a circuit during the winter to fine-tune their set-up, explore new strategies and adapt to the changing conditions of the various World Supersport and World Superbike championship circuits.

The aim of testing at race weekends is to tailor the bike to the specific characteristics of each circuit and track conditions. The Yamaha R6 and R1, GMT94's bikes, are meticulously tuned to meet the unique demands of each track. Precision is key, as a simple adjustment can make the difference between a mediocre performance and a stunning victory. Preparatory testing is never left to chance by GMT94 Yamaha. They are the fruit of a meticulous approach. The data collected during these tests is carefully analysed to further refine the team's performance. The engineers work hand in hand with the riders to analyse the data and the sensations.

The ultimate goal: victory

At the end, the ultimate objective of preparatory testing is victory. Every test, every kilometre on the track, every modification to the bike is a step towards that goal. The competition is fierce, but it's precisely this intensity that drives the team to excel at every race. Thanks to the expertise of the riders, the scientific approach and the precision of the engineers and mechanics, GMT94's Yamaha R6 and R1 motorbikes are ready to shine on the World Supersport and World Superbike championship circuits.
