A great first day for the return of Valentin Debise and positive for Lorenzo Baldassarri

30 June 2023

Race resume

Withdrawn from Misano for medical reasons, Valentin Debise is back after 1 month without having been able to perform any sport. The “94” rider made a very good comeback on the Donington Park track. He set the 10th time in free practice session 1 and an excellent 5th time in free practice 2 on a wet track despite being hampered on his last lap. The team and the driver can be confident for the day tomorrow with Superpole at 11:25 a.m. and race 1 at 4:15 p.m. French time.

In Superbike, the 2 sessions were disrupted by droplets of rain for Lorenzo Baldassarri. An unclear situation to which is added the test of new software by the Italian pilot. During the 2nd session, the track was completely wet and the Yamaha R1 rider completed his very first session on a wet track. All the drivers are not risky to go out but “Balda” achieves a good performance by placing 5th.

Lorenzo is motivated to enter the first 4 rows in Superpole at 12 noon in order to achieve the best possible race which will start at 3 p.m. French time.
