GMT94 Cremona 2024: Results Mahias/Öttl Race Saturday

The GMT94 Yamaha riders took part in Saturday’s races at Cremona (Italy) in the sunshine.

Despite a sore shoulder, Lucas Mahias gave his all in Race 1 of the Supersport class. The French rider got off to a very good start and found himself in 4th position on the first lap. The number 94 quickly claimed the fastest lap of the race, showing that he was a force to be reckoned with, even if he wasn’t at 100% physically. The 2017 World Supersport Champion still had to ease off the pace to avoid taking any risks and finish in a fine 6th place. His lap time during the race means he can start tomorrow from 5th position. A good omen for Sunday.

In Superbike, Philipp Öttl finished 16th. By clawing back 2 or 3 tenths per lap, the German rider can hope to score a point on Sunday.

In the Women’s World Cup, Emily Bondi and Ornella Ongaro finished 11th and 12th respectively after battling it out throughout the race. Spanish rider Maria Herrera took victory in the final meters after a thrilling finish against Ana Carrasco and Sara Sanchez.
