Race resume

The Andalusian sun shone down on the GMT94 riders as they took part in Saturday’s races at Jerez de la Frontera (Spain).

In Supersport, Lucas Mahias, who started from the 3rd row after his best lap was cancelled the day before (due to track limitations), got off to a good start right away, placing 8th in the first few corners. The GMT94 rider was then able to find his rhythm and was up to 6th position by the middle of the race. Number 94, one of the fastest riders in the sectors, was able to put in a string of laps to finish a fine 5th place just a few tenths behind Marcel Schrötter. The 2017 World Supersport Champion will be hoping for a good result tomorrow for the final race of the season.

In Superbike, Philipp Öttl finished 18th aboard his Yamaha R1.
