GMT94 Most 2024 Free practice and qualifying

19 July 2024

Race resume

The GMT94 Yamaha riders kicked off the 6th round of the season at Most (Czech Republic) on Friday in the summer heat.

In Supersport, Lucas Mahias gradually got into the swing of things during free practice, before tackling qualifying in the afternoon. A crash at the start of the session forced Lucas to return to the pits, and the team quickly repaired the bike to enable the number 94 to get back on track. He set the 10th fastest time, having missed the opportunity to change to the set of tires scheduled for the end of the session.

In Superbike Philipp Öttl was able to take advantage of free practice to work on the Yamaha R1’s set-up with his team. As the sessions progressed, the GMT94 rider was able to improve his times. Ranking 20th on Friday, he can count on a final session tomorrow to prepare for qualifying and the race.
