The GMT94 riders were in action this Saturday for the first races at Portimao (Portugal).

In Supersport, Lucas Mahias was quick to catch up with the frontrunners, enabling him to catch up with his rivals. Thanks to his lap times, the GMT94 rider was able to catch up with Can Öncü and engage in a duel that showed off his determination. A final overtake from the outside enabled the number 94 to cross the finish line in 8th position. The 2017 World Supersport Champion will start from 10th position on the grid for Race 2 with the firm intention of achieving a good result aboard his Yamaha R6.

In Superbike, Philipp Öttl had to deal with a technical problem after just a few laps. The GMT94 Yamaha rider is hoping for a good result in tomorrow’s Race 2.
