Race resume

This last day in Mandalika can give a smile to Lorenzo Baldassarri. The GMT94 rider has been gaining power all weekend. His lap times in the Superpole race proved it before scoring his first point in race 1. After a final lap two tenths faster than his qualifying time, Lorenzo Baldassarri could clearly have hoped for a good result in Race 2. This is what happened. After a second start following a red flag, Lorenzo Baldassari clearly impressed the team. The GMT94 rider set laps in 1’33 and showed impressive progress. With 5 laps to go, “Balda” even managed to overtake Alex Lowes and finish 14th, only 4 tenths behind the British champion. The numbers speak for themselves. Best qualifying lap in 1’34.3 (with qualifying tire). Best lap in race 1 : 1’34.1 ( race tire after 22 laps ). Best lap in race 2 : 1’33.3 ( race tire after 14 laps ).

For Valentin Debise, everything started perfectly on Sunday in Indonesia. The GMT94 rider started the warm up with used tyres in order to save the new ones for the race, and finished fourth in the session. With lap times 1.3 seconds faster than in qualifying, the number 94 had clearly found his rhythm after a complicated start to the weekend. All the hopes were thus allowed for the race. Unfortunately in this second race the French rider found himself 16th from the first turn. At the next corner Valentin Debise was forced to move away from the track and on a very slippery part of the track. He could not avoid the fall. We will remember his great comeback in Race 1 and a renewed performance during the warm up.
