Spanish Race Week in Barcelona for GMT94 Yamaha

22 September 2022

Barcelona - Spain

Race resume

This weekend sees the eighth round of the World Supersport Championship at the Barcelona circuit (Spain). The GMT94 Yamaha is coming in with confidence following its podium finish with Jules Cluzel on French soil ten days ago.

This will be Jules Cluzel’s first race at the circuit with the GMT94 Yamaha R6. Indeed, the rider of the #16 was injured two years in a row during the Catalan rounds. He was replaced in 2021 by Andy Verdoia, who rode his second race on the GMT94 machine. Jules is now fully recovered from his injury suffered in July and will be looking forward to the weekend with the same determination as Andy Verdoia, who will be trying to get closer to his team-mate.

Rain is forecasted for most of the weekend, which suggests a weekend of upsets. See you tomorrow at 11.30am and 4pm for the two free practice sessions, broadcast live on www.worldsbk.com.
