Race resume

The GMT94 Yamaha went through all the emotions this Sunday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

In the World Supersport Championship, Valentin Debise clearly showed that he has found his feet on his Yamaha YZF-R6 World Supersport bike. The Frenchman made another superb start to the race. The two-time French Supersport Champion even allowed himself several laps in the lead, a first for the #94 since Jules Cluzel last year at Estoril. Even though Valentin Debise finished just two seconds off the win, he proved that he can be counted among the podium contenders for the next round at Misano.

In World Superbike, Lorenzo Baldassarri tried to maintain a race pace despite premature wear of the rear tire. Unfortunately for the Italian, this deterioration did not allow him to reach the finish line. The 2022 WorldSSP runner-up now turns his attention to the next round of the calendar, which will take place at his home track of Misano; before that Lorenzo will benefit from the two days of official testing that will take place at the same circuit on May 11th and 12th.
