WORLDSSP Assen 2025: Results for GMT94 riders Mahias and Rinaldi in race 1

12 April 2025

Race resume

This Saturday at Assen (Netherlands), the GMT94 Yamaha riders took to the starting grid for race 1 of the World Supersport series.

Starting from 8th position, Lucas Mahias got off to an excellent start, but found himself in 5th place in the first few corners. Ideally positioned, a red flag quickly forced the French rider to repeat this good start. For the 2nd start, the number 94 did even better, placing 4th on the first lap. Lucas then had to drop back to 9th position. On arrival, he complained of a drop in performance. The engineers are analyzing the data to understand the problem and find the right solution for Sunday’s race.

Michaël Rinaldi is still struggling to adapt to the category. P16 in Race 1, he can still hope to score points tomorrow. Good evening to all.
