3 May 2025

Race resume

This Saturday in Cremona (Italy) saw the first races in the World Supersport Championship.

After a good qualifying session, Lucas Mahias was hoping for a good result. Starting from 6th position, the French rider got off to a very good start to find himself in 3rd place at the first corner. The number 94 was perfectly positioned in the leading group during the first few laps. His pace could clearly have given him hopes of a podium finish, but a mistake by a competitor just in front of him forced the World Supersport Champion off the track and he lost contact with the group. Lucas Mahias still managed to take 5th place and will start from the 2nd row for race 2.

In the Women’s World Championship, the GMT94-supported rider Lucie Boudesseul scored a fine result. Starting from 11th position, the French rider finished 8th and improved with each race. Following her time in race 1, Lucie will start in 7th position tomorrow, Sunday. Ornella Ongaro finished in 18th position.
