First day of testing at Phillip Island!

Test

The Australian weather could not be more radiant for this first day of test on the circuit of Phillip Island, it is under a summer sun that Valentin Debise and Lorenzo Baldassarri chained the laps to prepare at best the first meeting of the season which will take place in a few days on the same track.

In Supersport Valentin Debise said he was satisfied by this first day with the 11th fastest time on his Yamaha YZF-R6, remembering that the two-time French Supersport Champion is rediscovering the Phillip Island circuit where he has not set foot since 2012

The goal tomorrow will be to start working for the race and to validate the right set-up for this weekend.

Lorenzo Baldassarri’s side in Superbike continues to work on the Yamaha YZF-R1. The Italian rider and his team are concentrating their efforts on testing different settings, but this does not prevent the Vice World Champion from having fun on a track he loves.

The paddock is quietly preparing for the opening day of the Championship, tomorrow being the last day of testing before the long awaited start of the season.
