First laps for Lucas Mahias with the Yamaha R9

8 November 2024

Test

This Thursday at Cremona (Italy) Lucas Mahias, accompanied by his team, was able to do a few laps aboard the Yamaha R9 2025. The fog and track conditions prevented the French rider from attempting any fastest laps, but he was able to make the most of the afternoon to get to know the bike with which he hopes to score some good results in 2025. For his part, Michael Ruben Rinaldi was unable to test the Yamaha R9, but the 2 GMT94 Yamaha riders will be reunited at the beginning of January in Spain for 3 days of testing.

Lucas Mahias : “First Yamaha R9 test, the two days of testing were frustrating because the weather wasn’t with us. We did manage to do a few laps in the cold, though but the bike has very interesting potential for a first test. With a little track time, we’ll soon be very competitive. The 3-cylinder melody is really pleasant. Thanks to Yamaha for managing to adapt to the new Supersport generation, can’t wait for the next tests.”
