Barcelona - Spain

Race resume

Following Valentin Debise’s injury at Magny-Cours, Andy Verdoïa (18 years old) replaces the rider from Albi for the Barcelona and Jerez rounds.

Declared unfit by the WorldSBK medical team, Jules Cluzel can not participate in the Spanish round with GMT94. The medical protocol following his concussion forces him to remain one week more at home. Ludovic Cauchi (17 years old) will be on the Yamaha R6 of Jules. The French Supersport Champion runner-up had to discover the bike this Friday.

Andy Verdoïa finishes the day at the 9th position. It is possible for Andy to aim for good positions for his second race with GMT94. Unfortunately, he lost the front after an overtaking on Cauchi, which will take away the two GMT94 riders. Fortunately, no injury for the riders.

Ludovic Cauchi knew the circuit of Barcelona after having participated in a round of the Spanish Supersport Championship on this circuit. He finished the day in 30th place, 2.2 seconds behind the leader. An interesting performance in terms of time. Ludovic still has room for improvement and will continue to progress throughout the weekend.

See you tomorrow to see the youngest team lined up by the GMT94, with an average age of 17 and a half years. The Superpole will be broadcast live on Eurosport at 10:25 am, Race 1 will exceptionally start at 1:45 pm (local time).
