Magny-Cours - France

Race resume

This weekend of September 10th and 11th, the World Superbike Championship takes place at the Magny-Cours circuit (France). The GMT94 Yamaha is expecting more than 200 guests and 2,000 fans for this occasion. The event is even more important as its leading rider, Jules Cluzel, has announced his retirement from racing at the end of the 2022 season. This will be his last appearance in his home circuit.

Injured following a crash in England last July, Jules has been declared fit to ride this weekend. He will be back on his GMT94 Yamaha R6, in rainy weather conditions on Friday. He will join his teammate Andy Verdoia, who will give his best in front of his home crowd. Dry weather is expected on Saturday and Sunday, which will allow the spectators to enjoy the show even more.

The GMT94 Yamaha will enter two more French riders this weekend. Valentin Debise (2022 French Supersport Champion) won the wild-card set up by the FFM, Yamaha France and the GMT94. Matthieu Gregorio (2nd in the 2022 French Supersport Championship) won the second wild-card, and will also ride for the GMT94 Yamaha. Four French riders will be riding for a French team.

It will be possible to meet and discuss with the four GMT94 Yamaha riders this Friday at 5.30pm on the Paddock Show stage (located in the paddock). A signing session will be organised after this meeting, which will be repeated on Saturday at 5.30pm. A competition will take place, and you will find all the information by clicking here. Two VIP tickets for the French MotoGP 2023 by the Mutuelle des Motards, as well as a Shoei helmet and three other big prizes are at stake.
