End of 2 days of testing at Portimao for Mahias and Rinaldi

GMT94 joined the World Superbike Championship teams for 2 days of testing at the Portimao circuit ( Portugal ).

Yamaha engineer Christian Moretti was on hand alongside the 3 Yamaha Supersport teams present (Evan Bros, Ten Kate, GMT94) to work on the many set-up possibilities offered by the Yamaha R9.

The weather was not kind, with rain and sun. The team and riders feel ready for the first European event after the one held in Australia at the beginning of February.

Christophe Guyot: “Despite the track being tricky to get to grips with at times, the riders were able to put in a lot of laps and we’ve come away with all the information we needed to be competitive in 15 days’ time on the same circuit. The 2 teams managed by Andrew Pitt (for Michael Rinaldi) and Bart Van Heugten (for Lucas Mahias) worked together to accelerate the development of the Yamaha R9”.
