Race resume

Starting from pole position (his first since 2019), Lucas Mahias had every intention of achieving a good result in Race 1 at Most (Czech Republic).

The number 94 quickly launched himself into a battle for the top spots. Setting the pace aboard his Yamaha R9, the French rider was incisive against his rivals. Passing 2 riders in the first corner, the 2017 World Supersport Champion took the lead and fought hard to keep it. Lucas Mahias never gave up on his rivals.

Lucas Mahias, Can Öncü and Jaume Masia engaged in an intense duel and quickly pulled away from the other competitors. At the end of the race, Lucas handed over the reins to secure a podium finish that has eluded him since the start of the season.

The GMT94 Yamaha rider finished third and took his first podium of the season, the 29th for the GMT94 and the 32nd for himself. He will start from the front row tomorrow (P3) following his excellent time in Race 1.
