18 October 2020

Estoril - Portugal

Race resume

For the first time since the beginning of the season, the race took place in a pack. A group of nine riders left the rest of the riders. In this group, Jules Cluzel was often around 5th place, before losing some positions in the last laps. Jules and the team leave with valuable information for next season. In the pace of the leaders, the rider of the Yamaha R6 #16 gave his maximum from Friday to Sunday.

Corentin Perolari started from 13th place, fighting in the second group and adds two more points to his score. Estoril is the last race of the 2020 season. With 306 points scored, the GMT94 finished again on the final podium for its second complete season in World Supersport.

Christophe Guyot: “Jules can be proud of his weekend. He stayed with the leaders for most of race 2. It is sure that at 100% of his form, he could have fought for victory. It wasn’t easy to manage Jules absence after his injury, despite that, we didn’t leave the frontrunners in the last three rounds. The weekend was more difficult for Corentin, we will now discuss together to build the best project for him for the 2021 season“.
