End of Day 1 in Estoril !

16 October 2020

Estoril - Portugal

Race resume

After two weekends out, Estoril was Jules Cluzel return to the GMT94 box. After a cautious start, Jules felt much more comfortable in the second session, to end the day in 6th place (+0,410s). Corentin Perolari finished in 11th place (+0.914s). A small crash without consequences didn’t help the #94 rider. The lap times are tight, but the two GMT94 riders are able to significantly improve their lap times from tomorrow morning.

Jules Cluzel: “This morning I was tense and I felt much better in FP2. I keep a safety margin to don’t risk a useless crash. We have some ideas to improve and I think we can get closer to the top 3. »

Corentin Perolari: “I crashed without really understanding why, but I am certain that tomorrow I will be able to get closer to the lead. I like the circuit and I feel good, we can have a good race here. »

Christophe Guyot: “I am impressed with Jules level. After a heavy crash and a month and a half without riding, Jules is one of the frontrunners from the very first day. With Corentin we can score some precious points to take the world champion runner-up position in the team standings. »

See you tomorrow at 11.40 am for the Superpole and then at 03.15 pm for race 1, live on Eurosport (local time).
