Race resume

This Saturday started with a final free practice session. Jules Cluzel set a lap four-tenths quicker than last year before crashing out at high speed without any consequences for his body. Corentin Perolari also concluded an excellent session by finishing fourth, suggesting a good qualifying for both GMT94 riders.

The team had to repair as quickly as possible Jules’ bike, which had suffered some damages, before the start of Superpole.

Jules Cluzel took fourth place on the grid after his crash. A qualification which continues to feed the ambitions of a podium. Corentin Perolari finished 9th in this qualification, far from his expectations. The rider of the 94 knows that he deserved better.

Jules Cluzel: “This qualifying session was special, we all had to perform as well as possible on our first flying lap. After that the rear tyre lost too much grip. For the race we can fight for the podium, especially with the Flag-to-Flag for which we are well prepared.”

Corentin Perolari: “I’m disappointed because it was possible to do better in this session and to get a second row. In spite of that I know that I am ready for the race. I usually make good starts, I’m already looking forward to it!”
