Portimao - Portugal

Race resume

The week-end was going well, until this difficult QP. Jules Cluzel started the session with a one stop strategy, but has been often blocked in the traffic. His ideal time showed a 1’44, which would allow him to be on the front row. He ended 8th.

Corentin Perolari had a technical problem during his first fast lap. The engine issue forced the French rider to stop. He will start the race in P14.

Jules Cluzel : “I’m really disappointed of this session. We were able to do a better QP. Free practices went well, tomorrow is another day, we are aiming for a podium, so we will need to do a strong race.”

Corentin Perolari : “I’ve never been as fast as this morning on Portimao circuit. I had some expectations for the qualifications, unfortunately we had an engine issue. I have a good pace, I think I can do a nice race tomorrow.”
