Assen (The Netherlands)

Race resume

GMT94 Yamaha riders faced really cold conditions as the thermometer pointed 7 degrees maximum. Jules Cluzel ended on 5th position, four tenths from the first. Corentin Perolari, who had to discover Assen with a 600cc, finished on 12th place. Both pilots worked a lot during these sessions and got everything ready to fight for good positions during the week-end.

The morning was dedicated to work on race pace, the afternoon to optimize the set up the bike.

Christophe Guyot : ” This day is satisfying. Both riders got back a good feeling on their Yamaha R6. Jules Cluzel is much more confident in cold conditions, and Corentin found quickly a good pace. Traffic is dense on track, and we’ll have to find a clear lap to fight for the first row.”

Jules Cluzel : ” I’m quite happy for the feeling I got back on the bike. We can improve on a few things, but we are definitely more competitive than in Aragon. I’m really looking forward to the Superpole.”

Corentin Perolari : ” I finished on 12th position, and I know this is not my place. I haven’t been able to use the bike at its maximum as I did many mistakes on track. I think I will be able to fight for top 8 in qualifications. I feel good on the bike, we have to work on the first part of fast corners, but we are on the right way.
