Jerez - Spain

Race resume

After a five-month interruption, the World Supersport Championship was back on track at the Jerez circuit. Following numerous set-up tests, Jules Cluzel managed to climb to fourth place (+0.4 sec), and Corentin Perolari to eighth (+1.1 sec).

During FP2, the humidity and heat were felt, slowing down the whole Supersport riders. Following a final gear ratio change, Jules Cluzel finished fourth in the second session, one tenth of a second behind second place. Corentin Perolari concluded this afternoon’s session in 14th place.

Jules Cluzel: “Today we saw that we were among the favourites for the podium. Tomorrow morning we will have the bike and the set-up that will make the race. It is clear that we can get a little bit closer to the front, but it is difficult to estimate precisely what we can win on one lap. »

Corentin Perolari: “It was a difficult day for me. Following our set-up tests, I wanted to give it my all on a run with new tyres. I got tense and didn’t manage to achieve what I had imagined. I have the ability to do much better with this bike, I am not worried about tomorrow. »

See you tomorrow at 11.30 for the Superpole, then at 15.15 for the start of Race 1, live on Eurosport !
