End of the Italian round for GMT94 Yamaha

Misano - Italy

Race resume

A Warm-Up session and Race 2 took place this Sunday at the Misano circuit (Italy) for the GMT94 Yamaha team. The warm-up lasts only 15 minutes. The GMT94 riders started on new tires, with less fuel than on a race distance, and therefore less weight. Jules Cluzel took the 1st place, and Andy Verdoïa the 4th position. A good way to regain confidence for the whole team as well as for the riders, both satisfied with the machine’s settings during this session.

Unfortunately in race 2, Jules Cluzel met the same limits as in race 1, and got less good feelings than the day before on his front tyre. He finished 9th. Andy Verdoïa concluded the race at the head of his group, and took the 11th place.

The GMT94 team is now heading for the next round of the World Supersport Championship which will take place at Donington (England) from July 15 to 17. A circuit that has been successful for the team since Jules had won on this track in 2019.
