Misano - Italy

Race resume

The GMT94 is currently at the Misano circuit (Italy) for the 4th round of the World Supersport Championship. The two usual free practice sessions took place on Friday. In the first session, the GMT94 Yamaha team carried out an electronic test which proved unsuccessful. The test was an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the 2022 developments in the ECU. In FP2, everything was fixed.

Andy Verdoia impressed, posting arguably his best day of the 2022 season. Consistently in the 1’38s, Andy crashed out early in the session when he was more than three tenths ahead of the provisional pole. Andy went back to the pits to check the condition of his machine and set the 10th fastest time on a used tire with a consistent pace. The rider of the #94 Yamaha R6 is in a position to sign his best weekend of the year.

Jules Cluzel also worked on a used tire throughout the second session. The GMT94 Yamaha rider found a healthy bike and was able to regain his confidence after a difficult FP1. He finished 14th, with plenty of room for improvement. A new rear tire and some technical modifications to facilitate the entry of corner, will allow Jules to improve his pace.

See you tomorrow at 10:25 am for the Superpole and at 3:15 pm for Race 1!
