Race resume

It was after a race under high pressure that Jules Cluzel managed to take 2nd place. By finishing with two seconds to go, Jules was one second closer to the winner than yesterday. The pace was frantic for the leading riders. The engine of the Yamaha R6 GMT94 allowed Jules and Corentin to make clear overtakes in a straight line, giving the GMT94 riders an advantage over their rivals. Grégory Rebeyrat ( 25 years old – GMT94 engine manufacturer) deserves all the team’s congratulations for his hard work. Following the Jerez race, the engine power of the GMT94 team secured another second place.

Corentin Perolari, fighting in the group of the 7th place, crossed the finish line in the lead of his group with a little bit more than 17 seconds to go to the winner. Once again, the rider from the 94 made the show, with some superb overtaking.

Jules Cluzel: “It was probably one of the most difficult podiums of the year. We were a group of four fighting for the podium throughout the race. The rhythm was much higher than yesterday, we improved again. We have two more races here next weekend, I hope that we will get a little bit closer to the leader“.

Corentin Perolari: “Today I already felt better than yesterday on my machine. I fought well the whole race with Odendaal, we had a lot of fun. I score good points for the championship and for the team“.

Christophe Guyot: “This weekend we were able to clearly prove that our machine worked perfectly. Jules did a great job, as he has done since the beginning of the year. We have never been so successful in World Supersport. I’m also happy for Corentin who recovered well from yesterday and finished 7th“.

See you next Friday for the first free practice sessions on this same circuit in Aragon (Spain), for the 5th round of the World Supersport championship.
