Estoril - Portugal

Race resume

Following a difficult weekend at the Aragon circuit in Spain, the GMT94 team set off for Estoril on Monday morning. On Tuesday, the team enjoyed a break around the splendid Sintra Castle, one of the most beautiful sights around Lisbon.

On Wednesday and Thursday the team set up the structure at the circuit and prepared the machines for the second round of the World Supersport Championship. Cleaning the bikes, changing the sprocket, adjusting the suspension and setting up the box structure were all on the agenda.

This weekend again GMT94 is aiming for the top of the standings with its two riders. Last year Jules Cluzel did not ride at 100% of his shape, so FP1 will allow the team to confirm or adjust the 2020 settings.

Christophe Guyot: “We are coming to Portugal with similar ambitions to those of Aragon. Jules has shown that he can fight for victory. Federico continues to get back confidence following his crashes in winter testing, and can aim for a podium finish in Race 1. He will have to rediscover this circuit on the R6, as he has only ridden this track once before on a Yamaha R1.
