WORLDSSP Misano 2025: results for GMT94 riders Mahias and Garcia in race 2

15 June 2025

Race resume

This Sunday saw the second Supersport race take place in Misano (Italy).

After a very good warm-up (P2 and P5), the two GMT94 Yamaha riders had high hopes for good results. Lucas Mahias, who started from 8th position, found himself in 5th place by the first few corners. The French rider had the pace to fight for victory. While in the leading group, he was suddenly hit violently by a competitor who lost control of his bike. It was a premature end to the race for the ‘94’ rider, who was frustrated, of course, but motivated for the next race, which he is already eagerly awaiting.

Roberto Garcia started from 20th place. The number 37 entered the first corner in 19th place and then showed determination to move up to 14th at the end of the first lap. With impressive lap times, Roberto achieved the third fastest time in the race on his Yamaha R9. This is how the 2024 Moto2 European Champion was able to overtake many competitors to take a very respectable 6th place. Well done to him.

The GMT94 riders are now looking ahead to Donington (Great Britain) where the next round of the World Supersport Championship will take place (11-13 July).
