Rain was at the start of the two free practice sessions. Kyle Smith was particularly comfortable in these conditions and built his sessions in a calm and thoughtful way, before setting a series of fast laps at the end of FP2.

After his operation for a broken tibia-fibula, Jules Cluzel’s rehabilitation is going very well. The GMT94 rider can do sport again. Cycling and fitness training are now possible. Jules has worked a lot to try to be back in Magny-Cours. Surgeons and trainers were optimistic.

After yesterday’s race, Corentin Perolari was determined to do well. After another very good start, he battled for several laps in the leading group. A little bit before mid-race, Corentin drops back and finishes in 8th position.

After a successful FP3 for the GMT94 riders who finished the session in first and fourth position, the Superpole was looking promising. During the Superpole, Corentin Perolari finished 3rd. Kyle Smith was 7th fastest.

Kyle Smith has joined the GMT94 team for a weekend to replace Jules Cluzel, who has just had an operation on his left leg after his accident in Aragon (Spain). In free practice 1, Corentin Perolari increased his pace compared to the practices he did in July. With laps in 1’46, he finished 6th of the session. Corentin, wishing to work for the race, used only one set of tyres in FP1.

This weekend the sixth round of the World Supersport Championship will take place on the Barcelona circuit. Oscar Gutierrez, winner of four on six races in the Spanish Supersport Championship, will race as wild-card in Barcelona for the World Supersport Championship. Following a request from his team (Andotrans Team Torrento), the GMT94 team will support the 21-year-old Spanish rider.

Every year since its creation, the GMT94 Team has been involved in the French Superbike Championship. The team holds four French championship titles and has supported many French riders.

Following his crash on the circuit of Aragon on Sunday, September 6, Jules Cluzel, injured at the tibia and fibula, doesn’t know his convalescence period yet, even if his surgeon promises him that it will be fast. Just like the GMT94 team, Christophe Guyot’s rider doesn’t want to take any risk for his health.

Jules Cluzel arrived last night at the clinic of Clermont-Ferrand (France). The preparation of the parts to fix the tibia and remove the material in his ankle will take a few days.

While he was leading the race on the circuit of Aragon, Jules Cluzel was hit by a rider at the beginning of the third lap. Taken to the hospital of Alcaniz, Jules underwent some tests that revealed a fracture of the tibia and the fibula.
